Helsinki Cup is Europe's third largest youth football tournament held in Helsinki, attracting over 20,000 participants each year.
MagnumLiven Events initially served as the technical implementer of the event for several years, but in the last couple of years Helsinki Cup and MagnumLive have deepened their collaboration in the development and production of the Love The Ball Center event venue and the tournament opening ceremony. In addition, at the 2018 event, MagnumLive coordinated the construction of 18 partner tents and furnished five of them.
Love the Ball Center serves as the official leisure center of the Helsinki Cup. The goal has been to continuously develop the event venue comprehensively, including the program content. The intention was to create a place that serves all tournament participants, such as teams and their support staff, partners and other visitors.
The opening day of the Helsinki Cup included, among other things, a traditional procession and various programs at the event square. In 2018, the world's largest team photo, which has yet to be made official, was taken at the opening of the Helsinki Cup.
The patron of the event in 2018 was the President of the Republic, Sauli Niinistö.
