The fell landscapes of Levi offer one of the most stunning, yet challenging, settings on the World Cup calendar. The competition area, located north of the Arctic Circle, is known for its Arctic atmosphere, colored by the blue hour of the blackout period and rugged slopes covered in snow-capped mountains. As an event location, Levi requires an exceptional ability from the production partner to manage large-scale ensembles in difficult terrain and constantly changing fell weather.
MagnumEvents has been the technical partner of the Levi World Cup since 2004, responsible for the event's demanding infrastructure in arctic conditions. The long-term collaboration has honed the production process into a seamless whole, emphasizing technical reliability and weather resistance.
Technical production and implementation:
- Comprehensive event technology: MagnumEvents is responsible for the audiovisual technology covering the entire competition area. This includes sound, lighting and video technology for the outdoor areas, the finish area and the indoor areas.
- Lighting of the event area and audience tents: We are responsible for the lighting design and implementation of the entire audience area. This includes atmospheric and functional lighting for the large audience tents and lighting effects for the outdoor areas.
- Weather conditions: Weather conditions in the area have varied over the years from freezing to –36 °C to extreme coldDespite challenging and changing conditions, the technical implementation of the event has been successfully completed. At the heart of the production is the absolute reliability of the equipment and installations.
- Sound systems: The sound system covering the entire competition area is designed to serve both the on-site audience and provide a clear sound environment for international TV production.
- Screen and image technology solutions: Managing large LED screens and control technology so that thousands of spectators can follow the race in real time across the event area.
MagnumEvents' role is to ensure that the technical heart of the World Cup beats reliably year after year, enabling a high-quality sporting experience to be delivered to the audience on site – regardless of the weather.
It has been easy and pleasant to plan events with the MagnumEvents team. They actively propose solutions that are in line with the budget, content and goals of the events. The size of the technical implementations has varied from very light solutions to demanding implementations in sync with TV production. Thanks to their long-term cooperation, they also know the Levi operating environment well. We often think together about presenters and performers and the development of long-term events.

MagnumEvents organized Storia's (formerly Kirjavälitys) summer party for 130 people in our company's yard in Hyvinkää in 2024 and 2025. The program has been quite diverse in both years: group aerial photography, TV comedians and radio artists, mentalists, party bands, DJs and karaoke, competitions, a pizza truck, a hot dog and ice cream stand, and branded mugs!
MagnumEvents implemented the party as a turnkey service, including tents, furniture, stage and technology, electrical installations and catering services. All that was left for us was to purchase the drinks. The arrangements have gone excellently, the offerings have received a lot of praise (and have not run out), the entertainment programs have been held and the music has drawn the gang to the dance floor!

Expert and flexible support for a successful international event. For the closing evening of the 70th anniversary of the EUEW Convention, we worked with Kimmo from Magnum Events. The Collaboration was smooth, professional, and characterized by a keen eye for detail. TaylorMade Golf traveled to Helsinki for an event in July this year (2025) and were supported by MagnumEvents for our AV requirements.
I'd been communicating with Kimmo by email for around a year so felt like we already knew each other! It's quite a challenge when you're working in a different country to your own, with different languages etc. but Kimmo and the team made everything easy for us.
The event itself was amazing and I was especially pleased with the lighting which elevated the stage presentation to another level! MagnumEvents was responsible for the comprehensive technical execution and production of Interski 2023 , the world's largest Congress for ski instructors, held amid the stunning fell landscapes of Levi. The week-long international event brought together industry professionals from all over the world.

Performers and entertainment:
MagnumEvents supplied performers and program content tailored to the event, supporting the atmosphere of the entire week from the opening ceremony to evening celebrations.
Duration and scale:
The week‑long production required seamless project management in close cooperation with Levi Tourism, along with the ability to adapt to Arctic conditions without compromising quality.
